Modern problems should require modern solutions. As an artist I try to strive to address these problems in my art. I always try to find the best way to express my feelings and the most expressive way to do so. Creating art that speaks only the positives of the problem is quite hard as some art might be taken negatively if it does not respect the thing it is honoring. I am hoping that my artwork is taken positively and means no harm to anyone involved. I am a digital artist and like to work with digital tools , using photoshop to create a simple yet effective work. I have only spoken or written about gun control or school shootings while not creating any artwork about it because I always thought there were many people already doing artworks that spoke volumes already. Working on this project through digital tools as well as physical tools allows me to give a more expressive feeling and bring the whole work to another level. Technology has made it possible to create an aged looking paper already but the look would not be as realistic as being able to physically manipulate the piece. Taking on this project has allowed me to understand what I should be pushing for and it will allow me to create more effective games that tackle modern problems with modern solutions. I prefer to work on personal as well as political stuff. My personal stuff comes from problems that I have had to overcome or problems I am still facing today. I believe that talking about these problems will help those going through the same thing or have others have a better understanding of these problems. I am usually not involved in politics until recently because of the changes that I do not disagree with. I believe that the government should do their best to address modern problems by adjusting the laws and accommodating to the needs of the people. Recently there are some politicians that change the laws to fit the needs of their wallets or their wealthy contributors. I believe that these changes as caused a ripple effect on the problems we face today. I hope my work speaks volumes over the words I write one day.
